Are you looking for somewhere to complete forklift certification in Longview, Texas? Maybe you were just hired at a new company and need to get your telehandler certification. Lonestar Forklift is happy to help you get the right safety training for the job. Working with equipment exposes you to many types of risks, and we want to help you avoid injury to yourself, your coworkers, and your environment. By completing our OSHA and ANSI rated operator training courses, you will be able to maintain the highest level of safety while working.
We have 3 blended training courses to choose from at our Longview location: Forklift Certification, Telehandler Certification, and Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP or AWP) Certification.
Blended training is the most flexible way to acquire equipment safety training. You’ll be able to spend less time sitting in a classroom, and more time outside testing your practical skills. The course is broken into two parts—online theory training and a practical assessment. The online portion can be completed in 90 minutes or less. Our online training platform is available on all computers and most mobile devices.
Once you have completed your online training, it’s time to register for a practical assessment, which is required by law in the state of Texas. Our Longview Lonestar Forklift location has some of the Texas’ most experienced and knowledgeable instructors managing the practical assessments. This second half of the training course will only take up to 4 hours to complete.
Forklift Training – Learn the fundamentals of operating a forklift, including the proper start-up, shut-down, load-handling, and refueling best practices.
Telehandler Training – Cover the basics of maneuvering loads while navigating a work site, how to avoid common workplace obstacles and hazards, as well as how to manage machine stability under different operating conditions.
MEWP (Scissor Lift and Boom Lift) Training – Learn how to operate both a scissor lift and a boom lift in one training course. You’ll learn the various operational best practices for each machine, as well as learn about other types of equipment in the MEWP category.
Motorized Pallet Jack Training – This is designed to help learners inspect and operate a motorized pallet jack in a safe way under OSHA's Powered Industrial Trucks Standard requirements, protecting themselves and their coworkers from the potential hazards associated with their use.
