Duties:
The Forestry Products Specialist is responsible for developing the skill set of both the sales representatives and sales management team, with a focus on expanding the presence in the forestry market. This includes creating and implementing
a training program for new hires, building the skillset of current territory managers, and directing and motivating all members of the sales team for increased sales performance. This includes mentoring internal staff who are working with major accounts
and forestry customers in their respective territories, and creating sales material for the weekly sales meetings, and developing training modules for in-house training.
In this role you will also manage major accounts and establish relationships with corporate level contacts at head office locations. Additionally, are responsible for directly managing the specialty products team which includes a line of high capacity forklifts, terminal tractors for port applications, and an electric forklift product line. This includes training a variety of staff on product knowledge, managing inventory levels for the various product lines, and ensuring internal processes are in place for future success. Duties include: conduct sales meetings with major accounts and forestry customers; achieve growth in new markets and hit sales targets by successfully recruiting, managing, and coaching the specialty products sales team; provide training seminars and sales material for the sales team to increase product and industry knowledge for the forestry, pulp, and paper industry; train, educate, and evaluate territory managers on the forest industry and respective equipment requirements; work directly with the President and VP of sales to develop a strategic marketing plan using social media, email marketing, and content marketing; create sales presentations and marketing material; develop detailed product training modules and seminars for specialty products team on on-line training portal; maintain and forecast inventory requirements to maximize sales growth and profitability; attend trade shows and events to interact with potential customers and promote specialty products. Supervises 5 direct reports (sales managers) and approximately 30 indirect reports (sales reps and coordinators). Will travel between 80 – 100 days per year throughout Texas to our different branches including: Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Midland, and Fort Worth. The nature of travel includes training/coaching sales managers and the sales team, meeting with major account customers, meetings with vendors/manufacturers, attending trade shows and conferences, internal meetings with senior management.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or closely related.
Also requires five years’ experience as a site foreman or related which includes leading and managing a team of employees, implementing an internal training
program/schedule, working with suppliers to manage costs and streamline supply chain, ensuring success of all aspects of projects.
