Blended Training Method

The blended training method is an incredibly flexible way to learn how to operate equipment. First, you complete the online theoretical portion of the training. This can be done from any computer and most mobile devices, allowing you to take your training on the go. The online portion of your safety training will only take up to 90 minutes.

Once you have completed your online training, it’s time to finish your certification with a practical assessment. This second portion of equipment certification is required by federal OSHA regulations to be completed every three years. Our Houston Lonestar Forklift location is proud to provide you with the most knowledgeable instructors teaching your practical assessment, where every trainee gets time on a machine. This second half of the training course will take up to 4 hours to complete depending on the number of other participants.

Available Blended Training Classes in Houston

Forklift Training – Learn how to safely navigate a forklift while avoiding obstacles and maintaining personal safety. Cover the basics on how to lift and lower a load, as well as tips and techniques for efficient operation.

Telehandler Training – Learn the fundamentals of driving a telehandler while maintaining machine stability. Learn how to understand different load charts and operator manuals, as well as how to yourself and others safe while operating a telehandler.

MEWP (Scissor Lift and Boom Lift) Training – Learn how to operate both a scissor lift and a boom lift in this training course. You will learn how to identify different types of Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs) and best practices for operating each type of equipment.

Motorized Pallet Jack Training – Learn how to operate a pallet jack under OSHA's Powered Industrial Trucks Standard. This is designed to help learners inspect and operate a motorized pallet jack in a safe way, protecting themselves and their coworkers from the potential hazards associated with their use.
