Do you need to register for forklift training in Midland-Odessa? Maybe you were just hired by a new company and need to become certified to operate a boom lift or your ticket has expired and you need to get re-certified to operate a forklift. Lonestar Forklift is happy to offer several equipment training courses to help you maintain safety while working. Our operator training courses meet all OSHA and ANSI safety standards to ensure you are receiving the highest level of safety training possible.
We have 3 blended training courses to choose from at our Midland-Odessa location: Forklift Certification, Telehandler Certification, and Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP) Certification.
Operator training at Lonestar Forklift is offered in a blended-learning style. Blended learning courses are broken into two parts: an online theoretical component followed by a practical assessment. Completing part of your training online allows you to comfortably learn at your own pace. Did you know you can complete the online portion in 90 minutes or less? The online training platform is available on all computers and most mobile devices.
As soon as you’ve finished the first part of the course you can sign up for a practical assessment. This practical assessment is required by federal OSHA regulations to be completed every three years. Our Midland-Odessa Lonestar Forklift location is proud to have some of the most experienced instructors conducting the practical assessments. During this practical assessment, every student will get time on a machine. Depending on the number of other participants, the second portion of your certification will take up to 4 hours to complete.
Forklift Training – Cover the basics of safe start-up, shut-down, and refueling, learn how to navigate around obstacles in the yard, and how to manage machine stability while lifting and lowering loads.
Telehandler Training – Learn how to understand load charts, manage machine stability while driving with a full load, and how to avoid dangerous obstacles like powerlines. Cover the many different parts of a telehandler and how to refuel the equipment.
MEWP (Scissor Lift and Boom Lift) Training – This course provides certification for both a scissor lift and a boom lift. You will learn the fundamentals of operating both types of equipment, and other safety best-practices while working in a MEWP.
Motorized Pallet Jack Training – This course provides training to operate a pallet jack under OSHA's Powered Industrial Trucks Standard. This is designed to help learners inspect and operate a motorized pallet jack in a safe way.
